INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
Find an installer near you
Before installing an electrification kit, our partner store will assess the condition of your bike to ensure its compatibility with the kit. We would like to emphasize that safety is our top priority. If your bike is deemed unsuitable for electrification, particularly with regard to the condition of the frame and safety components (brakes, tires, wheels, etc.), installation may be refused. In this case, you will be offered, if possible, a quotation for the refurbishment required to install the kit. Our partners are committed to providing a quality service to guarantee the safety and satisfaction of our cyclists.

If you’d like to convert your bike into an electric bike, but don’t want to do it yourself, you can visit our workshop in the Drôme region, near Valence. We offer a kit with pedal motor to electrify your bike, whatever the brand, including bikes sold at Decathlon, Go Sport and Intersport.
Our pedal motor kit lets you add electric assistance to your bike for half the price of an electric bike of equivalent quality. The motor features a precise torque sensor that adapts assistance to the force you exert on the pedals.

We service and repair our electric kits ourselves!
Our workshop also offers all repairs and after-sales service for your electrical kits. We can dismantle, maintain and reassemble the engines we sell. For all products, we provide direct after-sales service.

Can you electrify my Decathlon, Intersport or Go Sport bike?
We offer a pedal motor kit to electrify your bike, whatever the brand, including bikes sold at Decathlon, Go Sport and Intersport. You can visit our workshop in the Drôme region near Valence for installation, or buy the kit online and have it installed by a bike repairer of your choice.
What is a pedal motor kit?
A crankset motor kit is a set of components that enable you to transform a conventional bike into an electric bike by installing a motor in the crankset. The motor is powered by a battery and provides electric assistance according to the force exerted on the pedals.
What's the difference between a pedal motor kit and an electric bike?
The pedal motor kit transforms a conventional bike into an electric bike, while an electric bike is a bike built specifically to be electric from the outset. The pedal motor kit is less expensive than an electric bike of equivalent quality.
How do I choose the right bottom bracket motor kit for my bike?
It’s important to choose a pedal motor kit that matches your type of bike and your needs in terms of power and range. At Syklo, we offer personalized advice for every electrification project.
What is the autonomy of the pedal motor kit?
The range of the pedal motor kit depends on several factors, including motor power, battery capacity and the way you use the electric assistance. In general, our pedal motor kit can cover between 40 and 100 km on a single charge.
How do I maintain my pedal motor kit?
We recommend that you have your crankset motor kit serviced regularly to ensure optimum performance. At Syklo, we offer all repairs and after-sales service for your electric kits. We can dismantle, maintain and reassemble the engines we sell.
Is the pedal motor kit legal?
Yes, the pedal motor kit is legal in France, provided certain rules are respected. Motor power must be less than or equal to 250W, and electric assistance must not exceed 25 km/h. Bikes fitted with a pedal motor kit are considered to be electrically-assisted bicycles (EABs) and must comply with current regulations.
How can I get my electric kit repaired if I'm not near the Syklo workshop?
If you can’t come to our workshop, you can send us your electric kit by courier. We recommend that you use a secure shipping service and contact us beforehand to arrange after-sales service. We will do our best to repair your electric kit as quickly as possible and return it to you in perfect working order.
How do I know if my electrical kit needs repair or replacement?
If you have any problems with your electric kit, please contact us for technical assistance. Our team of professionals will be able to identify the source of the problem and advise you on repair or replacement options. If you are no longer covered by the warranty, we will provide you with a detailed estimate prior to any intervention.
What is the warranty period for electrical kits sold and installed by Syklo?
All electrical kits sold and installed by Syklo are covered by a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and quality problems.
